Learning to Read with Headphones
My kids are asking that they be given the best headphones for using with their new interactive toys. I think this would be a really good idea because then it will keep them from arguing. They both got new books that teach them how to read, and using headphones will allow them to hear how the computer system sounds out the words. I love the fact that each book can be used to help them learn their letters and numbers, but there are also interchangeable books that can be shared between them. Giving them headphones will give them more opportunities to use these toys, and it will also give them the opportunity to have some private play time. The kids seem to cherish these toys a bit more due to the fact that my parents sent the toys to them, and they do not get the chance to see my parents as often as we all would like. We are hoping that we can get together when school gets out this year and spend some time together. By then the kids ought to have a pretty good grasp on reading from these cool little toys. Maybe the kids will be able to read their grandparents a story by then. I am sure they would love it.
